Alexei Beltyukov is an entrepreneur and philanthropist from Russia. He founded Endemic Capital in 2013 like a resource to offer angel funding to Russian start-up companies. He has formed several different companies to help fellow Russians looking to begin a business or even attend business schools. Beltyukov earned a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. He began his career in medicine after which he opted to switch and focus on business. He has since founded numerous companies such as New Gas Technologies, A-Ventures, Endemic Capital and Solvy.

Beltyukov was declared the Chief Operational Officer of Solvy in February 2015. Solvy is an online educational system for high school students to do their homework. By developing homework assignments matching to the set parameters, it enables teachers to create and offer learning exercises that are customized to cater to different student needs in an effective and timely manner. Solvy does not have multiple choice questions. Students have to put their answers and show how they arrived at them. It embraces progressive thinking on the growth of the mind and encourages students to make mistakes and learn from them.

This platform uses the real-world problem solving skills as a way to relate to math allowing different ways to approach problems and find their solutions. It interacts with students using feedback and hints, unlike most online textbooks. In turn, teachers are given performance reports which drastically cut down on tedious homework grading.

It’s clear from his history on About.me that Beltyukov values the growth of horizons through continuing education in regards to his own entrepreneurship and Solvy is already getting a lot of attention from EdTech experts and online educators. It was listed as one of the ‘Most Promising Startups’ by Launchingnext.com and was listed on BetaList’s ‘100 New Startups’.

Beltyukov has also partnered with the Russian government to offer support and economic guidance through the Skolkovo Foundation where he serves as the Vice President. The foundation gives opportunities and grants for Russian Technology start-ups as well as all entrepreneurs looking to grow their opportunities throughout Russia.

Alexei Beltyukov is very well known for his philanthropic work as he helped to start the Russian Alumni Scholarship at INSEAD. The scholarship offers financial support to all Russians accepted at the INSEAD University.
